I worked on the In Good Faith podcast at BYUradio for 2 years and started my own podcast (Take a Leap) in my last year there. Take a Leap was the first student-run podcast at BYUradio. Here’s what I gained:
Communication Skills
* I learned how to speak on the fly and ask enticing questions. The secret? Ask what you would be interested to know the answer to.
Knowledge of Podcasting Equipment
* I knew next to nothing about podcasting when I started at BYUradio. I dove right into the deep end and figured it out as I went along.
Marketing Expertise
* We traveled around Utah (and the US) to promote our podcasts, and I got great at the 20-second elevator pitch. One of our viral videos even landed us an interview with The Daily Universe (read the article here).
“King said that finding similarities in differing religions brings more hope into the world. ”

We planned and executed the first Take a Leap live event with Two Point Conversion. Watch an edited version here!
As the marketing director for both In Good Faith and Take a Leap, I created a lot of still and short-form content. Here are Instagram links to two of my favorite videos that I made during my time at BYUradio. Feel free to poke around and view more as well!
